Introduction

You probably have seen this sign before if you have traveled by airplane at an airport and seen a rental booth called Enterprise. This rental car company has been around since 1957!


The Enterprise company was founded by Jack Taylor, a decorated WWII Hellcat pilot who believe in his country, his family and the dream of starting a business. Learning from his experience in the navy with his trusting crew members including the value of hard work, team spirit and simply doing the right thing. Jack embraced the novel concept of leasing automobiles, with a fleet of seven cars, starting his leasing company in St. Louis, Missouri.

Enterprise is now a household name for frequent travelers, road trippers and those with a car in the shop. We're a brand that’s recognized as a worldwide leader in the car rental industry. We value employees and customers as much as a member of the family. Today Enterprise continues to drive success through a simple, yet powerful set of beliefs to become a leader in car rental, serving all of your transportation needs.

The current revenue of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company is about 20.9 billion dollars. 😱

A number of videos from the Enterprise channel were recently added featuring celebrities like Kristen Bell and Joel McHale who are advertising the Enterprise company brand incorporating their slogan "will pick you up" meaning Enterprise will be there to pick you up wherever you are.
Enterprise number of viewers on Youtube seems to be low (1K - 20K+) for a multi-billion company to be projecting their brand on social media world-wide stance.

Enterprise Instagram account looks to be under-developed in terms of their profile for followers and posts compared to their other social media accounts.

 Enterprise Rent-A-Car is a multi-billion company with many competitors like Hertz. Although Enterprise Rent-A-Car scales higher position in position of searches and has a better index than Hertz Corporation. The two competitors seem to match up in fluctations where Enterprise may always be higher in searches although the two still move steady.

In the past 7 days, Enterprise still remains to be highly searched over The Hertz Corporation.

There has been some recent buzz searches for both competitors on the issues of NRA (National Rifle Association) for what rental company stands against or support gun control policies.

Clearly marked in the searches, Enterprise Rent-A-Car supports gun control policies causing a rise in search volume under related queries "boycott enterprise" and Hertz also newly supporting gun control policies not supporting the NRA leading a high volume in searches "Hertz NRA".

This has been a national controversy in search queries for both companies in the USA.


Under the search name "boycott enterprise", states listed above 👆 shows 5 states that have been politically aware and has showed interest of boycotting the Enterprise Rent-A-Car.


The trend follows with the following 5 states listed above as well 👆.
These states also have found interest in searches for "Hertz NRA" as it becomes a popular search for what is become of interest in the political sphere for the Hertz Corporation to not support the NRA.

Surprisingly, comparing the two companies, Enterprise and Hertz have low numbers especially how social media enforced they are to their customers and followers on many platforms. Although I did notice Enterprise do not as much respond to their followers on Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Facebook. Instead they repost what is related to their company and sponsors. What I have noticed also is Enterprise owns other Rental car companies like National and Alamo which can be alot to operate within the social media surface for the companies they have to manage. I still recommend Enterprise consider reconstructing their social media teams to be more active intuitively with their customers/followers to bring that business model in effect "Customer service is first". This will work for their groundswell! 
P.S.
I am curious what the discussion trend of the NRA being involved makes a difference what customers or followers will be thinking about Enterprise as a company who does not support NRA.
